Description
Within the old and medieval walls of the narrow courtyard of Lahneck castle (germany).
Lanheck castle dates back to 1226, is a mid-size castle and can be toured. This castle is a wonderful destination with lots of beautiful corners in it.
Lahneck castle also has an extremely touching and sad (and true) story to tell - about a joung girl named Idilia Dubb. 17year old Idilia travelled with her parents in 1851 and on that trip they visited, among other places, the rhine. One day Idilia mysteriously disapeared. All searching for her was in vain. Idilia had hiked to the castle and climbed up the Keep when the woodden staircase collapsed behind her. She tried everything to make people aware of her presence but all her efforts were in vain and so she died after long days of suffering. 10 yrs later, when renovations took place, the workers found her skeleton and her diary ...

Hans, the shock of red highlight and the verdant green against the subdued tones of the castle rock. It makes this one stand out for a different reason. I also like the framing on the left.
