Unbelievable how many yrs have gone by while the memory is as present and vivid as if it had happened just yesterday. I do still know, in full detail, where i was and what i did and – most important - what i felt and how heartbroken i was when i saw what took place.
I still recall my thoughts when I first saw a plane hitting the tower(s) believing for the first few seconds i was about to see a surreal kind of action movie i had missed in the TV guide, before the reality-“hammer” fell down on me and knocked in my consciousness that this was no movie. Like millions i was “glued” to the TV and asked myself how and why people could do such atrocities to others. The horrific loss of life and the most terrible pictures of people jumping to certain death in absolute despair haunted me for many yrs and so did the images of the many hollow faced, anxious people wich carried signs with names of missing loved ones and relatives in stunning silence. I also remember an eerie and deafening silence of an entire city that´s usually lound and noisy i could realize even through the tv-set (CNN).
This work was therefore part of my self-“therapy” to get over and beyond those horrible memories, letting the outrage about this cowardly attack behind and to go on with normal every day life.. it does not fully work even until today.

I don´t wanna make the big money here - my maximum mark-up on this one is 3(!) bucks (no matter what size) so i earn virtually nothing (have to buy the candle and drive to the church).
